About the Translator
Wang Lei, Director of the English Department at the School of Foreign Languages, Jinan University, is a master’s supervisor and an associate professor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s degree in English Curriculum and Instruction, and a doctoral degree focusing on Subject Education (English) and Teacher Professional Development. In 2018, he conducted research at the Department of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick in the UK. He has an academic background in both English and Education.
Academic Achievements: In the past five years, he has led one social science project in Shandong Province; participated as the second member in one national social science project (Education); led two teaching reform projects in Shandong Province and participated as the first member in one teaching reform project and one provincial-level ideological and political demonstration course project in Shandong Province; led one doctoral fund project, two department-level teaching research projects, and three university-level teaching research projects (including one key project); published one monograph as the first author and contributed to one textbook; and has published over 20 papers in core journals in the fields of foreign languages and education.
Honors and Social Positions: He is a research fellow at the Shandong Provincial Academy of Educational Sciences, recognized as an outstanding teacher and an outstanding Communist Party member at the municipal level; he has received multiple awards for being an excellent teacher, a model of teacher ethics, and an outstanding Communist Party member at the university level.
