Hailan Ma 1, PhD in English Linguistics, is an associate professor in the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Guangdong Ocean University 2, China. Her main research areas are conversation analysis and the ecolinguistic study of Leizhou folk songs. She has published two academic monographs.
