Author’s Introduction

Dr. Wang Enke currently serves as a professor of Translation Studies in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, College of Liberal Arts at Shantou University, China, and he has been engaged in translation studies and teaching for over three decades. During this period, he has published one translated book, three academic monographs, and more than thirty academic papers. Over the years, Dr. Wang has specialized in research on the canonization of literary translations and on translation criticism from the axiological perspective. His related papers and monographs have exerted significant influence in the Chinese translation community due to his unique insights. Professor Wang has offered numerous courses for undergraduate and graduate students, including “Contrastive Studies of English and Chinese Languages”, “Culture and Translation”, “Translation Theory and Practice”, “Translation Criticism”, “History of Translation Thoughts in China and the West”, among others, which have consistently received high praise from students over the years.
