Abstract
Objective: To analyze the application effect of family-centered advance medical care plans in patients requiring palliative care. Methods: Sixty patients with cancer requiring palliative care, admitted to the hospital between January 2024 and December 2025, were included in the study. Thirty patients receiving routine care were selected as the control group, and 30 patients receiving a family-centered advance medical care plan intervention were selected as the study group. Quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the Chinese version of the Adult Cancer Survivors Quality of Life Scale between the two groups (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the scores in the study group were higher (P < 0.05), and the patient satisfaction in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Applying family-centered advance care planning interventions to patients in palliative care can effectively improve their quality of life and satisfaction, demonstrating high practical value.
