Abstract
Against the backdrop of increasing globalization, cross-cultural communication, and rapid advances in language technology, interpreting studies have attracted growing scholarly attention as an interdisciplinary field. This study, taking valid papers on international interpreting studies published in Web of Science Core Collection (SCI, SSCI, and A & HCI) from 2015 to 2025 as research samples, visualizes and reviews the research theme, research evolution and emerging hot topics of international interpreting studies through visualization analysis. The number of annual publications shows that despite the general growth, the number of articles on international interpreting studies fluctuates from year to year. By Cite Space analysis of keywords co-occurrence, keyword clustering and burst detection, it finds that international interpreting studies mainly covers three themes, namely interpreting cognition, interpreting training and interpreting tech-nology. The overall evolution has been a gradual shift from concepts of topics related to interpreting studies into a topic of in-depth and interdisciplinary study. The hotsports in recent years include cognitive load, interpreter education, corpus and others. The findings reveal research evolution and hotspots, provides a systematic overview for further interpreting studies and scholars who are interested in this topic.
