Abstract

Objectives: This study offers theoretical and practical guidance for reforming international law general education. The aim is to train legal professionals with global vision, intercultural competence, and strong critical thinking. Subjects and Methods: As globalization accelerates, such education plays a growing role in shaping students’ global perspectives and civic awareness. Yet much existing work remains classroom-bound, leaving curricula outdated, faculty capacity uneven, and students weakly motivated. These constraints reduce the effectiveness of efforts to build global citizenship and international legal literacy. Anchored in educational psychology and cognitive development, the study adopts a model-driven approach supplemented by case analysis to trace the psychological pathways linking this form of education to students’ global vision and civic awareness. Results: It incorporates individual differences and environmental context as dual moderators to sharpen the analysis. A psychometrically informed evaluation scale is also developed to quantify learning performance and support timely feedback and course adjustment.  Conclusions: The paper proposes a five-stage educational model and a comprehensive evaluation scheme that combine quantitative indicators, weighting rules, diagnostic tools, and targeted pedagogical reforms. With iterative implementation and feedback, the framework supports continuous improvement in curriculum design and teaching quality, advancing the long-term development of international law general education.
