Abstract
Strobilanthes tetrasperma is widely distributed in Southwest, South, and East China, and is an important medicinal plant of Acanthaceae. In this study, a three-factor and three-level orthogonal experiment was designed to conduct cutting propagation tests. The results showed that among the three factors, the type of growth hormone had the greatest influence on the cutting survival of Strobilanthes tetrasperma. The order of effects on cutting survival rate was growth hormone type > concentration > soaking time, and the order of effects on root number was growth hormone type > soaking time > concentration. The optimal combination for improving cutting survival rate was NAA at 200 mg/L for 3600 s; the optimal combination for increasing root number was IBA at 200 mg/L for 3600 s; and the best comprehensive combination was IBA at 200 mg/L for 600 s.
