Research on Traffic Peak Shaving and Data Consistency Guarantee Mechanism of E-commerce Flash Sale System Under Event-driven Architecture

Abstract
In the instant high-concurrency scenarios of e-commerce flash sales systems, issues such as sudden increases in traffic, intensified inventory competition, delayed propagation of order status, and data offset across services occur. The event-driven architecture provides a new implementation foundation for transaction link governance. By leveraging event decoupling, asynchronous queuing, and state distribution capabilities, the concentrated influx of request pressure can be transformed into a controllable processing rhythm, while integrating inventory reservation, order generation, payment confirmation, and exception compensation into a continuous closed loop, reducing the risk of overstocking, duplicate orders, and status misalignment under peak impact. After forming collaborative control around key links such as entry filtering, message buffering, transaction messages, idempotent verification, and compensation recovery, the flash sale system no longer merely pursues throughput improvement but further strengthens the stable convergence of transaction status during peak periods, providing strong reference value for architecture optimization and operation guarantee in high-concurrency e-commerce transaction scenarios.
