Artificial Intelligence-driven Interesting and Interactive Instruction in English Reading

Abstract

Under Education Informatization 2.0, artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping English reading instruction. Aiming at issues like low student engagement and rigid classroom interaction, this study investigates the application of intelligent text analysis, virtual scenario construction and AI‑powered Q&A systems. It proposes strategies including personalized resource recommendation, immersive learning design, and human‑machine as well as peer‑interaction platforms. Based on typical cases and teacher‑student feedback, this paper evaluates AI’s role in improving students’ reading motivation and language proficiency, and addresses risks such as algorithmic bias and data security. Results reveal that deep AI integration revitalizes classroom engagement and drives teaching reform from knowledge delivery to competence cultivation. This study provides practical models and theoretical support for the digital transformation of modern English education.
