Abstract

With the acceleration of globalization, the role of new media in cultural dissemination has become increasingly prominent. Currently, how Chinese classical literature is communicated is at odds with the aesthetic habits and comprehension needs of Generation Z, making it difficult to enhance the international influence of Chinese culture effectively. As a core carrier of outstanding traditional Chinese culture, Tang poetry urgently requires English translations and dissemination adapted to the context of the new era and the characteristics of young audiences. This paper takes the modernized and innovative translation of Tang poetry as its entry point, relying on a self-built bilingual corpus and data from 253 questionnaires, integrated with short video practices, to explore the application value of new translations of Tang poetry in cross-generational communication. It summa-rizes optimization pathways suitable for Generation Z, providing a reference for the localized popularization of Chinese classical literature and its promotion abroad.
