Research on the Construction of Digital Literacy Models for University Translation Talents in the Digital Age

Abstract

Under the vast wave of digital transformation, the all-round penetration and application of emerging technologies in the translation industry is an inevitable trend and an important force in cultivating translation talents in the new era. Translation talents’ digital literacy is a significant factor that restricts the degree of efficiency and quality in cultivating foreign language talents and the reliability and validity in evaluating foreign language talents. Based on the connotation and theoretical foundation of digital literacy and an analysis of the existing problems in the present university translation talents cultivation, this study proposes an application-oriented translation talents development model combined with the concept of digital literacy. In addition, practical channels for universities for translation talents development are expounded with regard to curriculum system, teaching mode, evaluation standard, and faculty training.
