Abstract
Colleges and universities offer management courses for engineering majors who have passed the engineering education professional certification, aiming to strengthen the management literacy education of engineering students and cultivate interdisciplinary talents who are proficient in both technology and management. Analysis of the current teaching situation reveals that students in these majors have weak knowledge of economics and management, low learning motivation, and are easily influenced by external environments in their value perception. At the same time, the courses suffer from pain points such as a fragmented knowledge system, monotonous teaching methods, limited forms of ideological and political education, and an imperfect assessment system. To address these issues, this paper focuses on student development and constructs an innovative management teaching model around five dimensions: course objectives, teaching content, teaching methods, ideological and political education, and course assessment, thereby improving the quality of course teaching and students’ comprehensive abilities.
