Abstract
Using examples of the most characteristic paintings and graphic works, the author explores the characteristic features, similarities, and differences between the works of artists and designers from different eras and their perception to the No-vosibirsk architectural avant-garde of the 1920s and 1930s. Having mentioned the origins of constructivism, he examines the conditions under which this style developed in Novosibirsk, along with the simultaneous appearance of the first artists in the city, who left behind the first evidence of the city's formation. Using the method of historical and genetic analysis, the author then consistently examines the different ways in which artists of different eras reproduced avant-garde architectural objects, depending on their worldview and the influence of social and domestic political situations in specific periods. At the same time, common features of the works are noted based on the original characteristics of the depicted style. This article continues an extensive, multi-year study of the urban landscape of a large Siberian metropolis, both as a genre in general and, for the most part, as specific periods of its historical legacy. By drawing attention to this topic, the author hopes to contribute to the preservation of historical, architectural, and cultural sites, as well as to the integration of this aspect into education at various levels.
