Abstract
This study addresses the structural mismatch between talent cultivation and industry needs in China’s creative industries amid the rise of new quality productive forces. It introduces a “four-chain integration” model—connecting education, talent, innovation, and industry chains—to enhance industry-education integration in application-oriented universities. Drawing on a five-year teaching reform at a design school, the study evaluates the model through literature review, case study, action research, and survey methods. Results identify a progressive pathway of “assignment-portfolio-product-commodity” and a teaching framework combining project-based learning, dual-platform collaboration, and dual-mentor guidance. This study provides a replicable approach for advancing industry-education integration and supporting creative industry development.
