Subjective Creativity of Shakespeare in Richard III from the Perspective of New Historicism

Abstract
While Shakespeare is commonly recognized as the summit of English drama, the investigations of his history drama are paid less attention to than those of his tragedy or comedy no matter home or abroad. With the Neo-Historicism theory employed in analyzing Richard III, Shakespeare’s textuality of history will get the opportunity to show up. The historically concrete details in this drama manifest themselves in the political position that the Tudor Dynasty is legitimate contrasted by the chaotic Plantagenet Dynasty, where Shakespeare’s own ideology in writing this drama is synchronously exposed to readers. This paper aims to represent the real image of the king by contrasts the historical records with the drama description with the employment of Neo-Historicism, simultaneously, Shake-speare’s defence for Tudor Dynasty manifest itself in the plot development, where a lot of historic characters act crazily to be on concord with Shakespeare’s arrangement. By doing this, this paper will contribute to the development of global Shakespearean cultural industry.
