Exploration of Training Models for Metallurgical Translation Talents in the Context of Modern Industrial Colleges in the New Era

Abstract
Driven by economic globalization and industrial upgrading, China’s metallurgical industry is increasingly integrated into global value chains. This transformation has created urgent demand for interdisciplinary translation professionals who combine linguistic competence with metallurgical expertise. However, traditional translation education remains largely language-oriented and fails to systematically incorporate industry-specific knowledge. Based on the collaborative platform of the Modern Metallurgy Industry College and the Language Service In-dustry College at the University of Science and Technology Liaoning (USTL), this study explores an interdisciplinary cultivation model for metallurgical translation talents. It proposes a multidimensional knowledge framework, an industry-embedded collaborative education mechanism, and a competency-oriented assessment system. The findings aim to provide theoretical and practical guidance for specialized translation training under the framework of modern industrial colleges.
