The Logical Structure and Optimization Pathway for Generative Artificial Intelligence Helping Middle School Students’ English Reading Learning

Abstract

We use generative AI to support middle school students’ English reading, advance the digital and intelligent reform of English teaching, and develop students’ core competencies. English reading instruction is constrained by limited resources, inflexible evaluation, and unmet demands for personalized instruction, which makes it difficult for students to read. This paper systematically analyzes the connotation, logic, and optimizing path of AI empowerment. It emphasizes that the key is to recreate the teaching ecology and shape core literacy through collaboration between people and machines, and to balance technologies and education. AI empowerment is progressive: read differently, think differently, feel differently. Optimizing the road involves transforming the teaching scenario, tripartite cooperation, and multi-dimensional prevention of risks. It is good to solve ancient problems and innovate English reading teaching. It also enriches foreign language educational technology theory and practice. It can also improve the quality of the English reading classroom.
