Abstract
In the context of globalization, the process of second language acquisition (SLA) is closely related to cross-cultural communication. This study examines SLA from a cross-cultural perspective, focusing on its core meaning, component structure, and effective development path. This study analyses the core meaning of cross-cultural SLA and emphasizes that it is about improving cross-cultural communication skills rather than grammatical accuracy. It proposes a multi-dimensional structure composed of cross-cultural awareness, communication ability, language-anchored cultural knowledge, and emotional adaptability. In addition, this article outlines the practical development path, advocates integrating culture into curriculum design, creating an immersive experiential learning environment, using technology strategically, promoting reflective practice, and strengthening teacher training. By combining theory and practice, this study aims to provide teachers and learners with the necessary tools to deal with the various complexities of multilingual and multicultural communication, so as to improve the effectiveness and relevance of language education in a more interconnected world.
