Abstract

Against the backdrop of the global manufacturing industry’s transition toward green and intelligent transformation, green logistics has emerged as a critical strategy for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to address environmental challenges and enhance their competitiveness. This article examines the unique connotation of green logistics in manufacturing enterprises, emphasizing its deep integration with production systems. The study systematically delineates green logistics practice pathways spanning the entire value chain—from procurement, production, and sales to recycling—including the establishment of green procurement systems, optimization of production logistics, and improvement of sales networks and recycling mechanisms. Analysis indicates that green logistics not only directly optimizes corporate cost structures by reducing expenses and improving operational efficiency but also creates market value through the cultivation of green branding and the stimulation of technological innovation, thereby holistically strengthening enterprise competitiveness. However, implementation faces challenges such as high technical costs and difficulties in supply chain collaboration. Accordingly, enterprises must advance green logistics in a coordinated manner across multiple dimensions, including strategic planning, technological application, and ecosystem cooperation, to achieve sustainable development.
