Abstract
Linguistic bibliography deals with the subject of grammatical sufficiency of written speech, the marking and confrontation of frequent mistakes in the use of Modern Greek. Our study aims to construct an electronic tool for the automatic recognition and correction of grammatical errors in texts. Starting from the determination of the grammatical error we have gathered typical and accepted cases of errors classified in templates. Our target is the analysis and valuation of data concerning the recognition of grammatical errors by users of written speech. From a historical perspective, the recording of grammatical errors has long been linked to language teaching and linguistic policy in Greece, reflecting broader de-bates between prescriptive and descriptive approaches. The study of errors therefore not only serves computational applications today but also continues a long tradition of documenting how written Greek evolves through time.
