Abstract
Currently, Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Doubao in China have attracted widespread attention in the field of translation. Different from traditional machine translation, AI focuses more on context understanding and accurate expression of semantics, and its quality is closer to human translation. However, AI translation is mostly used for scientific and technological expository texts. In specific fields such as tourism texts, it needs to be considered from multiple levels, and there is a lack of systematic research evidence on quality issues. To explore the current development of AI translation and its ability for tourism texts, this paper adopts Professor Li Changshuan’s three-dimensional CEA framework (Comprehension, Expression, Adaptation) as its theoretical framework. Building on this foundation, it takes the official commentary of Shi-gu Academy as the corpus and conducts a comparative analysis between the translations coproduced by teachers and students from the School of Foreign Languages of Hengyang Normal University and those generated by DeepSeek. Through this comparative approach, the study further analyzes the differences between AI and human translation, while also examining the processing charac-teristics of the two types of translators across different levels.
