Abstract
The aim of the research was to derive a formula of mobility for computing a number of degrees of freedom of the multi-mass system, as well as a method for determining the number of degrees of freedom for a system with elastic elements. A model of the kinematic chain has been developed from two-mass limbs’ groups. Determination of the kinematic analog of the connection of two solid bodies by an elastic element should be carried out in arrear of small displacements, i.e., according to Hooke’s Law. In these frames, the force and torque functions have plots like straight lines that cross the origin. The slope of these lines is determined by the stiffness of the elastic element. Conditions of existence of a kinematic analog of the elastic connection: the stiffness of the elastic connection in one direction can be increased to any value compared to stiffness in other directions; during this movement, the form of the elastic element and construction of the elastic connection should remain; the stiffness of the kinematic analog should remain too.
