Abstract

Objective: To analyze the effect of the modified flap combined with GBR (guided bone regeneration) on patients with maxillary anterior dental implants. Methods:  Forty patients with anterior maxillary dental implants were included in the study and treated from January 2023 to December 2023. Patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. 20 in the control group were treated with a traditional flap combined with GBR technique, and 20 in the observation group were treated with a modified flap combined with GBR technique. Compimplant success rate, alveolar crest absorption value, and aesthetic effect of the two groups. Results: Comparison of implant success between the two groups after 1 year of implant (P> 0.05). At 1 year after surgery, the alveolar crest absorption value was less than that of the observation group, and the aesthetic effect score was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Compared with the traditional flap and GBR technique, the modified flap and GBR technique is more effective in treating patients with implants in the maxillary anterior tooth area, which can reduce the alveolar crest absorption value and improve the aesthetic effect.
