Abstract

In the field of primary school art education, balancing technique training and cultivating innovative abilities is the core issue in enhancing students’ art literacy. Basic techniques such as form expression and color application are like the cornerstones of artistic creation, providing students with tools to express their own ideas. Meanwhile, innovative thinking is a key force in promoting personalized and outstanding artistic expression among students. However, there are some problems in current primary school art teaching, such as overemphasizing technique training while neglecting the cultivation of innovative ability, or the lack of close integration between the two. This often leads to students’ work lacking personality and creativity. To change this situation, we need to clarify the interdependent relationship between technical training and innovative thinking. By optimizing the curriculum system, innovating teaching models, and improving evaluation criteria, we can effectively balance the training of skills and the cultivation of innovative abilities. This not only helps students solidify their basic art skills but also stimulates their innovative thinking, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of primary school art education.
