Abstract
With the deepening of China’s aging society, the pension problem has become an important issue related to national development and social stability. In this context, although the pension financial services of commercial banks have formed a development pattern of diversified business, service optimization and market expansion, covering pension management, pension financing and pension insurance, and continuous improvement in service mode and market layout, they still face severe challenges in the stage of preparation for the elderly, pension and deepening of pension. There are three dilemmas in the old-age preparation stage: limited income and insufficient savings, and lack of pension planning; the pension stage is faced with a’ triple imbalance’ of product selection difficulties, risk-benefit mismatches, and service needs that are difficult to meet; the old-age care stage encounters the “three noes” problem of untimely information acquisition, poor service experience and insufficient protection of rights and interests. Therefore, this paper puts forward that commercial banks should build a diversified wealth accumulation system, optimize asset allocation and service mode, improve the quality and guarantee of financial services and other innovative strategies, including innovative savings products, strengthening financial education, enriching financial products, innovating service mode, and promoting the integration of financial science and technology, so as to cope with the challenges of aging and help improve the old-age security system and the high-quality development of old-age finance.
