Abstract

A 27-year-old multiparous woman was admitted to the hospital at 38 weeks of gestation with signs of impending labor. She experienced regular contractions, and the duration from the onset of contractions to the delivery of the baby was 1 hour and 50 minutes. Following the delivery of the fetus, she developed postpartum hemorrhage, which was poorly controlled by conservative treatment. Before the arrival of ultrasound assistance, the chief of the department conducted an examination and identified a continuous disruption at the 9-10 o'clock position in the right side of the uterine cavity. Facing this critical situation, relying on experience, a transvaginal uterine repair surgery was performed. The surgery went smoothly without any complications. The patient recovered well postoperatively, with no further bleeding or other complications. A follow-up uterine ultrasound performed 42 days postpartum showed no abnormalities, and her menstrual cycle resumed normally. Two years postpartum, she experienced another normal pregnancy and delivered successfully without complications.
