Abstract
This paper takes the digital transformation of vocational education as the background and aims to enhance students' core literacy in the English subject. It integrates multimodal resources into classroom teaching to achieve the deep integration of traditional learning methods and networked learning methods. The research has clarified four key goals in teaching, namely the cultivation of foreign-related communication skills in the workplace, the enhancement of the awareness of multicultural exchange, the improvement of language thinking ability, and the perfection of the autonomous learning system. It also conducts an analysis of the existing problems in current English teaching in higher vocational colleges. Including the uneven English proficiency of students, the low utilization rate of multimedia resources, the insufficient understanding of multimedia technology by teachers, and the monotonous teaching forms, etc. Through the teaching practice of the control class, this study is committed to enriching curriculum resources and constructing a systematic teaching approach. Promote the application of multimodal teaching models and optimize instructional design; Formulate digital teaching standards, improve the curriculum evaluation system, and ultimately construct a multimodal teaching system for higher vocational English with multimodal resource integration as the core, thereby promoting the all-round development of students in terms of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
