Abstract

This paper focuses on the role transformation of the media in grassroots governance, analyzing its development process, current situation, and impact from both theoretical and practical aspects. The study reveals the internal logic and external driving forces behind the media's role transformation in the context of national governance modernization. By examining the actual situation of the media's involvement in grassroots governance, this paper explores the opportunities and challenges it faces and further elaborates on the practical paths for the media to participate in grassroots governance in multiple dimensions, such as strengthening the grassroots defense line to ensure social security, intensively studying grassroots management to create a scientific decision-making blueprint, and consolidating the foundation of democracy to rejuvenate grassroots vitality. This paper argues that the media, as a governance entity at the grassroots level, plays an irreplaceable role. The transformation of the media's role in grassroots governance from a tool to a subject is an inevitable result of social development and the modernization of national governance. It is necessary to accelerate media convergence, and continuously explore new models and paths for the media to participate in grassroots governance to meet the needs of social development and provide strong support for the modernization of national governance.
