Abstract
This paper examines the legal protection of wildlife in western China, which is of great significance to the ecological balance, natural environment, and human social development. The legal protection system of wildlife in China is still flawed, and there is still a need to continuously strengthen legislation, law enforcement, supervision and publicity in wildlife protection in the western region. At present, there are many problems in wildlife protection in western China, such as the lack of coordination between local legislation and higher laws, the lagging of local legislation, and the failure of the articulation of provisions; insufficient concepts of ecological security, the lack of foresight in local legislation, and the failure to prejudge development projects; and the difficulty in the practice of compensating for the damage caused by wildlife. In response to the above problems, legal measures are proposed to explore the wildlife protection rule of law, pay attention to the ecological and cultural value of wildlife, and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
