Analysis of Martial Arts Culture and Enlightenment from Martial Arts Film and Television: A Case Study of the Wong Fei Hung Film Series

Abstract

As an important part of traditional Chinese culture, martial arts culture still has a profound influence on contemporary society. The Wong Fei Hung series of films, as representative works of martial arts films, not only showcases exquisite martial arts skills but also contains profound cultural connotations. The article takes the Wong Fei Hung film series as the research object to deeply analyze the elements of the martial arts culture in it, explore the presentation of "wu" and "xia" in the film, and the martial arts spirit reflected in the changes in the protagonist's thoughts. Based on this, it reflects on the problems existing in contemporary martial arts film and television works, proposes to promote the spirit of martial arts, spread traditional culture, and tell Chinese stories well, etc. The research aims to provide new ideas for the creation and development of martial arts films and promote the inheritance and innovation of martial arts culture.
