Abstract
In the context of the new media era, digitization, networking, and intelligence have gradually become distinct characteristics of library development. With the rapid advancement of technology, readers' demands for information services are also constantly evolving, becoming more diverse and personalized. In response to this era of change, libraries need to actively explore and practice, striving to integrate new media technology into daily reader services deeply. This paper focuses on the library reader service under the background of new media and analyzes the impact of new media on library reader service through mobile library apps, WeChat official accounts, new media accounts, and other new service modes. Subsequently, the article proposed suggestions such as organizing online and offline integration activities, forming a new media service team, and enriching digital collection resources, hoping to promote innovation and upgrading of library services further, to better meet the diverse needs of readers and provide them with more convenient and efficient information services.
