Discussion on Psychological Problems Affecting the Quality of Life of Cancer Patients and Nursing Intervention

Abstract

Objective: To explore the psychological problems affecting the quality of life of cancer patients and nursing intervention. Methods: 60 cancer patients were included in this study, all of whom were admitted from January 2022 to January 2023. The above patients were all self-made psychological problems questionnaire to understand the patients' psychological problems. Random number table method is divided into experimental group and reference group, the routine nursing application in the reference group, the experimental group to take psychological nursing intervention. There were 30 patients in each group. The nursing effects of the two groups were evaluated by anxiety and depression scores, treatment compliance, quality of life and nursing satisfaction. Results: The psychological problems of the two groups of patients were investigated by questionnaire, in which the proportion of anxiety was 58.33%, depression 51.67%, fear 41.67%, agitation 43.33%, irritability 30.00%. The difference of anxiety and depression scores between the two groups was small before nursing (P > 0.05), and the experimental group was lower after nursing (P < 0.05). The treatment compliance of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group (P < 0.05). The survival quality of the experimental group was higher (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: There are many negative psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, fear and irritability in cancer patients, which are mainly caused by adverse reactions of treatment and lack of effective support. By taking psychological nursing intervention, patients can alleviate negative emotions, improve their treatment compliance, help to improve their quality of life, so that patients are more satisfied.
