Abstract

Many scholars recognize the value of incorporating corpora into translation teaching. They propose that corpora provide rich language examples, enhance students' language awareness, improve translation quality, and promote independent learning among students. The monolingual corpus has great application value in translation teaching due to its rich corpus, easy operation, powerful functions, and free access to the outside world. This paper takes CNRTL as the research object and reflects on its application in French translation teaching. It emphasizes that CNRTL can provide teachers and students with quick retrieval of language examples, help students check the accuracy of translation expression, strengthen students’ understanding of French texts, and improve students’ translation cognitive ability. As a result, CNRTL is an effective auxiliary tool to improve the effectiveness of French translation teaching. Its application in teaching is expected to introduce an innovative mode or paradigm for the field of Chinese-French translation teaching.
