Abstract
In the context of the new liberal arts, the significance of interdisciplinary education for Japanese language teaching is evident not only in enhancing the practicality of language education but also in improving the relevance of Japanese language teaching. Under the traditional approach, Japanese language teaching often encounters issues such as a disconnect from practical needs and a lack of awareness and skills for students to bridge theory with practice. This underscores the growing urgency for the application of interdisciplinary education in Japanese language teaching. In the realm of the new liberal arts, the interdisciplinary approach to Japanese language teaching involves not only diversifying teaching methods and content based on student interests but also enhancing educational precision and effectiveness through a problem-oriented approach. It should also strengthen the integration of theory and practice through a practice-oriented approach and establish close ties between educational supply and demand through a market-oriented approach. By implementing comprehensive strategies that encompass various dimensions, from educational philosophies to teaching methodologies, interdisciplinary Japanese language teaching can effectively align with current trends, break away from traditional constraints, foster innovation, implement quality education reforms, and expedite the transformation and advancement of subject development, thereby enhancing quality and efficiency.
