Abstract
With the continuous development of English education in colleges and universities in China, there are more and more light cultural phenomena appearing, which is not conducive to the cultivation of college students' cross-cultural communication ability. By incorporating traditional culture into education, students can develop diverse thinking skills, enhance their English proficiency, and gain a deeper appreciation for the values embedded in their local culture. This approach aims to foster a sense of responsibility among students, empowering them to actively contribute to the revitalization of their homeland and nation. Based on the significance of integrating traditional Chinese culture into English teaching at colleges and universities, this paper analyzes the reasons and proposes further educational strategies. Students can be graded in teaching according to their different levels. At the same time, the selected content can also be integrated to create quality courses that can meet the needs of diverse learners, so as to promote the wisdom, modernization, and digital development of higher education in China.
