The Present Situation and Measures of College Sports Football Teaching in the New Period

Abstract
The quality of college football coaching in the new era is directly linked to students' physical and mental well-being and overall development. In the early stages of college football development, its progress relied on the support of school policies, primarily emphasizing the scale and quantity of student participation. However, the involvement of young students lacked initiative and continuity. Currently, campus football is transitioning from an era of development focused on "scale" to one of "refinement." The emphasis is shifting from simply "having" to "being strong," marking the focal point of reform. However, in the current teaching practice, there are some problems such as insufficient teaching resources, outdated teaching content, and low student participation. In order to enhance the effectiveness of teaching sports football in colleges and universities, several measures need to be implemented. These include increasing investment to improve teaching conditions, optimizing teaching content, enhancing practical skills, encouraging student participation, and fostering interest in learning. The implementation of these improvement measures is of great significance for strengthening students' physical fitness, fostering students' teamwork and leadership skills, promoting campus cultural development, and enhancing school reputation.
