Abstract
Ideological and political education aims to guide students in forming correct values, ideological character, and political beliefs, while aesthetic education plays a significant role in cultivating students' moral character and aesthetic taste. Both are effective ways to implement the fundamental goal of "cultivating virtue and nurturing people" in the new era. Therefore, integrating aesthetic education into ideological and political education can meet the needs of the "three comprehensive education" in universities. This integration helps implement the task of cultivating morality and talents in the new era of higher education, thereby promoting the effectiveness of ideological and political education in universities. Therefore, this article explores the integration of ideological and political education with aesthetic education in universities. It analyzes the relationship between these two types of education, proposes effective strategies to promote their integration, advocates for the scientific development of ideological and political education in universities, and aims to enhance the overall quality of students.
