Abstract

This article explores emotional issues in English classrooms and analyzes the impact of emotions on learning motivation and student behavior. Firstly, the article defines and categorizes emotions, and introduces the concept, characteristics, and different forms of expression of emotions. Secondly, the study focused on discussing the impact of teacher emotional management on learning motivation and student behavior. It emphasized that positive teacher emotions can stimulate students' interest in learning, while negative teacher emotions may lead to poor student behavior. Next, the article explores the ways in which students express their emotions and their impact on learning outcomes, pointing out that a positive expression of students' emotions can help improve learning outcomes. Finally, the study proposes some emotion regulation strategies, including affirming and encouraging positive emotions, as well as managing and alleviating negative emotions, to help teachers and students better cope with classroom emotional issues. Through the study and analysis of emotions in the English classroom, we can gain a better understanding of the influence of emotions on learning. This understanding can help us provide appropriate teaching recommendations, ultimately fostering positive emotions and enhancing learning outcomes for students.
