Abstract
Currently, integrating industry and education to create a training model has become a trending topic in the field of education. However, the traditional education and teaching model has problems such as teaching content that is disconnected from social practice, and curriculum assessment methods that cannot adapt to training goals, which have seriously affected the development of the integration of industry and education. This article proposes the idea of using subject competitions to promote classroom teaching. It takes the teaching reform practice of the "Public Space Design" course as an example, focusing on the implementation path of the "promoting learning through competition" model in practical teaching in the art design major of higher vocational colleges. The teaching mode of "promoting learning through competition" is introduced, broadening teaching ideas through the integration of production and education, the opening and reorganization of various educational elements, and the interaction and integration of diverse industrial and innovative elements.
