Abstract

By employing literature research, case analysis, and comprehensive analysis methods, this study aims to delve deeply into the application of traditional Chinese colors in college art teaching. It also aims to propose corresponding strategies to enhance students' comprehension and preservation of traditional culture. Through research, we can identify the existing issues in current art education and offer effective solutions to enhance the integration of traditional cultural education in college art programs. Based on the research, the connotations and characteristics of traditional Chinese colors are elucidated, along with the significance and utilization of traditional Chinese colors in art education. It has been found that there are some issues in the application of traditional Chinese colors in college art teaching. These issues include a lack of understanding, incompatibility between teaching materials and methods, and students' inclination towards creativity. The corresponding countermeasures are put forward, including strengthening teaching and research, formulating scientific and reasonable teaching materials and syllabus, and guiding students to express colors in a di-versified manner. Through effective countermeasures, we can promote the utilization of traditional Chinese colors in college art education, fostering students' comprehension and preservation of traditional culture.
