Abstract
Now we are witnessing globalization in education on a scale never seen before. The global village has made the world smaller and smaller, while the field of education has become larger and larger. With more and more universities emphasizing the intercultural communication competence of students, strong critical thinking abilities have become necessary when facing cultural conflicts, identifying truth, and making fair judgments. Accordingly, universities and educators need to actively explore and adopt new methods and measures that can effectively enhance students' critical thinking in intercultural circumstances. This paper first analyzes why the critical thinking skills of college students are still lagging behind. Secondly, it emphasizes the importance of enhancing critical thinking skills in the context of cross-cultural interaction. Finally, it aims to offer effective strategies for enhancing critical thinking skills from the viewpoints of universities, teachers, and students.
