Abstract

This paper takes local normal universities in China as examples to discuss how the blended gold course of English Linguistics can be developed based on the Chaoxing Learning Platform. It is suggested that a blended gold course of English Linguistics can be developed by combining the course design, resource construction design, teaching activity design, and evaluation system construction to meet the requirement of being innovative, advanced, and challenging. In order to verify the effectiveness of the development of a blended gold course of English Linguistics, students are selected as the subject and interviewed, and their learning records on the learning platform are tracked for one semester. It is found that a blended course of English Linguistics can improve the teaching quality and students’ learning effect to some extent. It is hoped that this study can provide some references for the scholars who are devoted to the teaching of English Linguistics.
