Abstract
With the development of digital technology, virtual art, and immersion theory have attracted extensive attention in the field of cultural research and have had a significant impact on the conceptual thinking and narrative methods of cultural display. Immersive display not only engages the senses of sight, hearing, touch, and smell but also goes beyond technical enhancements in interaction design. It aims to provide the audience with profound spiritual integration and aesthetic pleasure by designing cultural experiences through virtual perception. Taking the virtual display of the Japan Pavilion at the Milan World Expo as an example, this paper aims to provide a detailed explanation of the role of virtual art in the display of design culture. It focuses on three forms of immersive display: panoramic virtual image space, sensory expansion through interactive experiences, and the narrative space of mixed reality. The goal is to offer innovative ideas for the digital development of design culture displays.
