Abstract

Chinese folk literature encompasses myths, legends, folktales, scenic allusions, folk songs and ballads, dialect proverbs, and more. They have existed since we were born. The time of their creation is unknown, and there is no definite author. They naturally spread among the people. Chinese folk literature, as an important element of national culture and the embodiment of national psychological consciousness, has consistently demonstrated robust and dynamic vitality throughout its long historical development. It also explores the application forms and practical cases of Chinese folk literature in modern education, and summarizes its educational value. The research shows that incorporating Chinese folk literature into modern education can enhance students' aesthetic sensibilities, cultural identity, and creative thinking abilities, and improve their overall and humanistic qualities.
