Abstract
Cultural confidence is the essential driving force for a country to sustain its vitality, and it is a fundamental component of constructing a robust socialist cultural country and establishing a modern socialist country comprehensively. Cultural confidence is the fundamental, profound, and enduring force required for the development of a country and its people. In his 20th report to the Party, the General Secretary emphasized the significant task of "promoting cultural confidence and self-improvement to create new glory for socialist culture," providing guidance for cultural work in the new era. Contemporary college students are being subtly influenced by new media as an important new force in building a power of socialist culture. As a double-edged sword, new media provides more convenient conditions for fostering college students' cultural confidence, but its rapid development also poses hidden dangers. The new media era will integrate cultural confidence into ideological education in colleges and universities, further strengthening students' cultural confidence. This long-term project requires active participa-tion from college students as the main stakeholders, as well as increased cooperation among families, schools, and society to cultivate cultural self-confidence and achieve the great revival of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
