Abstract

In recent years, there has been an increasing phenomenon of teachers leaving and resigning from the profession, indicating a decline in their sense of professional identity and achievement. A stable and promising team of teachers plays a significant role in primary education in China. In addition, educational justice requires reallocating educational resources so that precise help and support can be provided. This literature review thematically outlines the factors that influence teacher resilience from emotional, social, and professional perspectives. Moreover, the author discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the previous literature and identifies gaps in the research. It is important to note that the author aims to investigate the psychological well-being of rural teachers, including how they adapt and develop in challenging and relatively unproductive rural teaching environments, in order to establish themselves in rural primary schools. In the final section of the article, I will use a case study to examine how dealing with a student family issue affected my resilience in relation to the risk and protective factors.
