Abstract

The primary objective of this paper is to examine the portrayal of multi-dimensional spatial form in children's books. The study focuses on children aged 0-3 and children aged 4-6 as the primary subjects of research. It aims to determine whether children in the 0-6 age group are suitable for reading children's books with multi-dimensional spatial form, and it presents two different perspectives on this issue. It has been concluded that children aged 0-3 should focus on natural growth and health without overemphasizing reading children's books with complex dimensions. In contrast, children aged 4-6 can explore children's books that incorporate two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and even multi-dimensional forms, along with new interactive technologies and materials. This is based on the belief that obedience to natural development tends to be more beneficial before the age of three. Stimulate the development of children's five senses: vision, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. Finally, considering the functionality of children's books and the actual reading experience of children aged 4-6, the task is to explore and design a new format for children's books based on "Traditional Chinese Myths and Stories" with multi-dimensional spatial forms.
