Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015, explaining its main objective and clarifying the statutory definition of a 'consumer'. Special attention is devoted to outlining the contrast between individual consumer transactions and the broader, more complex actions carried out by businesses. The discussion also covers the range of rights granted to consumers, including both explicit and legally implied protections. It also examines the specific circumstances in which the Seller (also known as the Trader) is allowed to deviate from these presumed conditions, as stipulated by the Act. The article presents a comprehensive narrative on the implications of the Consumer Rights Act, 2015 for both traders and consumers. It examines the Act's influence on defining the responsibilities of sellers and the entitlements of buyers, with the goal of fostering a fair and just consumer environment. Bringing together the threads of analysis to offer a comprehensive understanding of the Act's impact on the commercial and consumer landscape.
