Abstract
Physical education is an essential component of school curriculum. Tennis and basketball are two highly popular sports in physical education, but they can be technically challenging. Students often face difficulties while learning these sports. In order to enhance students' technical skills and interest in learning, teachers have started incorporating auxiliary exercises into the teaching process. This paper aims to investigate the impact of introducing auxiliary exercises in the teaching of core techniques for tennis and basketball. In addition to technical training, the net port can also enhance students' enjoyment and motivation in training. Students can engage with the net port, challenge their own hitting accuracy and speed, and attempt to hit the ball through the line above the net mouth or continuously hit the line above the net port within a specified time. This gamified training approach can stimulate students' interest and increase their enthusiasm for participating in training.
