Abstract

Objective: To study and analyze the effects of acupuncture and massage combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation on postpartum pelvic floor muscle function and quality of life. Methods: A total of 60 women with vaginal delivery admitted to our hospital from May 2020 to January 2023 were selected, all of whom were diagnosed with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction, and were divided into a study group and control group with 30 cases in each group by random number table method. The patients in both groups received pelvic floor rehabilitation treatment, the control group received bio-feedback electrical stimulation treatment, and the study group received traditional Chinese acupuncture and massage combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation treatment. The pelvic floor muscle function and quality of life of the patients before and after treatment were evaluated and compared. Results: After treatment, VRP, PFM strength, PFM endurance, and other pelvic floor muscle function indexes of the study group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05); After treatment, the I-QOL scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Traditional Chinese acupuncture and massage combined with biofeedback electrical stimulation for post-partum patients with pelvic floor dysfunction can promote the recovery of pelvic floor muscle function and improve the quality of life.
